So after looking at my schedule and thinking about work and watching tv and actually doing the recaps, I have come to the decision that a couple of shows need to be dropped. Yes, already. But I don’t think it will really impact much.
I’ve decided not to recap Family Guy and American Dad. I mean honestly, how much recapping can you do of a half hour cartoon that has no sort of overarching story line. There’s not really a point to it. At the moment, however, I will continue to recap everything else on the list.
Also, now that the majority of my shows will be coming back from hiatus this week, it will get harder to keep up with the amount of shows I talk about, but I’m going to do my best.
Now it’s time to catch up on last night’s stuff!`
Ahhh fashion. I love clothes. I hate buying clothes and trying clothes on, but I love watching other people make clothes and then get judged on those clothes. I also love All Stars of pretty much anything, since I already know at least some of the contestants and have someone to root for.
Oh this show. Chuck Lorre is cursed and blessed when it comes to this show, I think. So many crazies, and yet it just keeps moving on. Charlie Sheen went nuts, but honestly, that’s the greatest thing that’s ever happened to it. Ashton Kutcher is doing such a great job and it was because of him that I started watching the show again in the first place, and it was a great decision. Now we’ve got Angus T. Jones losing his marbles. Thankfully he’s been a diminished presence this season and wasn’t in this episode at all.
This is probably my favorite of all sitcoms on TV. It’s funny and fresh and absolutely perfect for the nerd in me. I’m proud to be a nerd. I love Star Trek and Star Wars and Doctor Who and sci-fi and all that stuff, so really, this show was made with me in mind. I watch it every time it’s on TV and love every second of it.
This is one of my favorite new shows of the season, and probably my second favorite new sitcom, second to The New Normal. Given that this show is just half an hour and doesn’t have long drawn out plots, this might be one of the shows that gets dropped from my recaps, but it’s a charming half hour I look forward to every week.
I haven’t quite decided how I’m going to format these posts, so I’m just going to do what feels the most natural until I find my footing and we’ll see how it goes.
So here’s me in a nutshell.
My name is Claire. I just turned 24. I’m currently single and living at home with my parents and working as an administrative assistant, which I love. I’m also in kind of a rut, so I’m making steps to get past that. One is planning a move to New York City, because really, who doesn’t want that? Another is this blog.
See here’s the thing, I watch a lot of TV. Like… a lot. It could be considered an addiction. But it’s a fabulous addiction filled with story lines and sexy characters and feelings that make me want to cry, scream, laugh, and rip my hair out all at the same time. The feels, guys, the feels can be overwhelming.
The problem is, not all of my friends are as addicted to TV as I am, and we don’t all watch the same shows, so sometimes it’s hard to really get my emotions out about what I’ve been watching, and my thoughts on where shows and characters are headed. That’s why I’m starting this blog, to recap and giggle and squee and cry and get angry about these shows I love so much.
I might throw in some books and music and general life nonsense here and there, but for the most part, it’ll be TV recaps and feelings. Here’s a list of the shows I’ll be talking about, sorted by day of the week.
